Memorial Weekend: Part 1

We had a very busy holiday weekend. Yesterday we got back from a fun camping trip in West Virginia. But our fun didn't start there, no no, it started Friday! So lemme back track and take it from there...

Friday night was a little chaotic. Eleanor had dress rehearsal for her dance recital, but Peyton also had his preschool graduation at THE SAME TIME. We had to leave Eleanor in C'ville with her grandma to watch her so we didn't miss Peyton's big night.

I can't believe my little man is starting kindergarten this fall! Where has the time gone?? I will miss him so much during the day, so this summer I will try to soak up as much time with him as possible. 

This here is Kylie, Peyton's other "half". They have really taken a liking to each other and his mom and I jokingly call them 

Mr. and Mrs. Pekary, LOL!

Sadly Eleanor had to miss her brother's graduation. But, if she missed rehearsal, then she wouldn't have been able to perform in the recital the next day.

Saturday was pretty much as hectic as Friday.

I had to getup bright and early for a funeral. My cousin's future Mother-in-law passed away last week. It's a sad time for them because she is getting married in 3 weeks! So I hurried off to the funeral.

Steven met us in town at the performing arts center afterwards. It was def rush, rush, rush.

But we made it to the recital in time thank goodness.

Eleanor did a fabulous job, all her years of dancing are starting to pay off!

The entire cast of the first show! We had to stay for the second show, which made for a long day. Since Eleanor is in performance company now, she has to do both shows. It's been a lot of hard work on her behalf but I know she loves dancing!
